I have been called the Spoon Queen and I consider it a compliment. I always wanted my art to be recognizable as my own and truly unique. So after years of painting and designing book covers, gift wrap and corporate swag, I came across my grandmother’s shiny silverware and a new obsession was born, Flatware with Character. So much character that some of my collages have faces and personalities. My pieces are built with repurposed items that are salvaged and recycled. I believe what was old can become new again.
I am quite confident that no one else creates collages like mine, so the title Spoon Queen makes me feel very special.
